Panic & Percentages
Action: Find a local food bank to use or donate to depending on your circumstances, and help out our undocumented (1, 2), indigenous (1, 2), and trans friends through mutual aid programs as they face the virus with fewer resources and less government support than they should have to. Follow the CDC guidelines (wash your hands, wear a mask in public, stay 6 feet away from others, and avoid crowded public spaces). Make some masks for yourself and others (especially front-line workers like those in healthcare, food/grocery service, and delivery) if you’re sewing inclined or not even a little, including an ASL DIY Face Mask Tutorial from the CDC and a non-video tutorial.
Educate: Do your research on what to look out for when it comes to coronavirus symptoms, and what to do if you feel sick. Watch our favorite handwashing videos (1, 2, 3), as well as the promised intubation video we mentioned in our podcast episode this week. Take a closer look at our infographics and Action Items visual from the week of April 27, 2020.
